View submission: Elders of Reddit, what are some differences between the feedback you've been getting from people in your offline life and people online? or has it been similar?

On Reddit, we have no choice about who we associate with. In our real lives that is not the case. I don’t think it has anything to do with age. I imagine you choose your associates too. So of course the feedback is different. I think most of us filter out unpleasant people in our real lives.
