When my wife and I were still dating, her sister had a 1982 Chevette. She asked me if I could replace her alternator, and I'd done it a few times before on older cars, so I said sure. I went by her house to start the job and the alternator was right under the A/C compressor and I couldn't work out how to remove it. So I go by my dad's friend's place who has a set of Chilton Manuals and I look it up. Step 1 was: Remove A/C Compressor. I had to nope right out of there. Also: Bad engineering.

I worked with a guy who said he had a Vette. LOLs commenced when he brought it to work.
