I was going to downvote this but 80% of it I agreed with. I’ll let you all figure out what part I didn’t agree with.

Some parents are terrible. I think we all know that by now.

It’s possible that because you don’t agree it’s still reasonable advice.

I guess you don’t agree with the compromise part. În my own experience compromise plays a big role in a marriage.

What I failed to mention is that I am not talking necessarily about big compromises but the small ones that make the difference, for example I worked as a bartender all my life and every night I was out in a pub/bar because în my small town i knew every bartender and waiter and it was like going to a friend, after marriage I started to go with my wife and skipped some nights just because she wanted to watch a movie.

Another example is that I was used to play video games on sundays from 8 am to 1-2 în the morning, after marriage I started to play less and go out with my wife more.

What I mean by saying compromises is that you can give some small things away that won’t change who you are but make your relationship much better, the amazing part is that I saw her making compromises as well and I just can say it is amazing.

If you are stubborn and won’t compromise at all there is a chance your partner will get fed up at one point. I know you should find someone that appreciates you the way you are and gives you the freedom to enjoy your hobbies but sometimes it’s hard to find the perfect one.
