I think Id rather get it auto because I forget all the good subs I am on like this so not likely to go turn it on or even know about it.

This is the biggest concern with a pure Opt-In, as simply saying "You can do this" will mostly just see it used by the users who browse here a lot and are 'plugged in' so to speak, while the crowd we are hoping to find the most use of it might never even know it is an option even if they would opt in. The above idea I hope would be a viable one to split the difference, although I have no control of the backend.
