I asked what if they had a solid IT department and a positive relationship with them.
The IT guy at my last job made me a home made Persian Baklava before my departure. I find it unlikely the old boy in the new job will be baking me any pastries đ
An IT department that is calling hr on the new guy for a non offensive meme, 3 weeks after an email is sent, all while giving no guidance on the actual IT questions in the email does not sound like effective nor a collegial relationship.
Sounds dysfunctional and petty.

They might bake you pastries if you learn to interact with them in the appropriate way expected in this companyâs culture.
You made a mistake. It happens. You are making another one with the attitude of âitâs you, not meâ.
Youâre the new guy. Trust me, itâs you.
