This game is designed to be played without a game master, or equivalent. Everyone plays the part of a writer for their own episodic narrative, that take place in the same universe.
Of ourse, there are other options as well. If you are not interested in mixing things up yet, skip to the next header.
One option would be to add a game master, or CEO to the game, as someone who
gets to describe extra, "Real life" stuff that happens. Budget cuts,
controversies, executive decisions, so on and so forth.
This could be implemented in two ways: either they get more votes than anyone
else durin the audience reaction phase, or they dictate the entire phase.
You, as players, play the part of writers. As a writer, you will be telling your
own story within the broader, connected narrative. You will be controlling a
number of Players, all playing their onw paty in the great play of life. Players
can be individual characters, small groups (such as a gang of thieves, or the
crew of a ship), or even global powers.
The core mechanics of the game will revolve around changing the various metrics
of the Players, by playing cards.
