my computer history is long and complex. i spent a good chunk of it just hanging around various communities doing nothing but lurk.
over time i got more and more into doing more and more with less and less. i got to a point where i was spending 90% of my time in the terminal, with the only time i needed out of it was to use a web browser. i'm sure you've noticed how crazy the internet is with all it's java-y stuff and everything, and terminal browsers just ain't up for most of it.
the thing with software that uses less, is for some reason it breeds a level of elitism. i've never had a desire to be 'elite' just a general desire to enjoy my computing time in ever more weird ways. things get more and more close to pushing an ideology i don't enjoy the less lines of code people use and i don't really understand why.
i just want to play with cool software and see how close to using 0 computer resources i can get without giving up on the usage. i don't want to have to hate groups of people just to do that, and i don't even want to joke about hating those groups.
why can't just we have fun?
maybe i should try something stupid and maximalist instead. i'm already a fan of emacs, so i guess it's time to put everything into things instead of taking it all out.
