Mining is hard, specially near zero gravity. Dust, pebbles… they fall over a period of minutes and hours. The key to everything is to either do it very slowly, or to use wrapping materials for everything. Cover the rock wall in fabric, then apply the hammer, wait for the material to settle, and swipe it up instead of filling your mine with debris.
Sometimes I look at the image of our homeworld and it fills me with sadness. We had so much water! It was free and simply flowed downhill. It is sometimes hard to imagine.
