This is really neat. A twitter clone somehow shoehorned onto gemini, with ascii art profile pictures. This can only get better with time. Will it federate?

@antolius yeah I went through a couple before I found one that cam eout clear enough. It's a solar eclipse by the way, but i could see the eye interpretation 路 2 years ago
@wolftivy I imagined it to be a closeup of an eye. But what I like about it that it retains enough shape to get the imagination going. Not all images ASCII-fy as good. 路 2 years ago

But maybe it doesn't need to federate. It's a lot of complexity for unclear benefit. Maybe there should be a constellation of communities that are only commensurable to each other over the usual protocols.

Federation with other station instances maybe but federation with pleroma, mastodon and stuff. I don't think so. 路 2 years ago
I feel like it makes more sense to make a gemini frontend for Pleroma (it's the simplest one, right?). I think Martin said somewhere that federation is too much for Station, and I personally understand and agree with that 路 2 years ago
