I heard a podcast about that recently where they played an audio clip from a β€œhow to game the H1B system in the US and get slave labor” training Β· 4 months ago

I think it's pretty simple. There have been a ton of layoffs lately and companies are looking to fill positions for cheaper. My problem is I'm mega senior technical or group level management and everything I see is entry level. (Plus I'm trying to steal as many Danish jobs as I can 😈 @hansbrix) · 4 months ago

@hanzbrix Yep, the market seems to be out of touch with reality.

In my case it's even worse: I was hoping to find a job to move out of Russia before the pandemic, but wasn't putting enough effort into it as I still had personal reasons to stay here, then COVID broke out, then the war, and now the market itself is botched 😱

And I don't think that I do not possess any valuable skills, it's just that for EU companies hiring me would involve extra hassle. I could probably just move on my own and obtain a work permit through some proxy company, but it's also troublesome considering where I'm coming from, I might seem suspicious 😩 · 4 months ago

Agree. My only prospect so far is in Copenhagen (thousands of miles away) and they ghosted me! Β· 4 months ago
