@clseibold ohhhhh that's cool! thanks for filling me in on what I missed. also very based of you to provide music hosting uwu 路 9 months ago
@throatmuppet Titan was created as a sister-protocol to provide upload of longer data. It was first used to create a wiki over gemini, over at transjovian: gemini://transjovian.org/titan
There is also Spartan, which doesn't have TLS but does support upload, and Nex, which also doesn't have TLS, but does *not* support upload. Nex does have a sister-protocol called NPS that supports upload only to a server. It's just to send data to a server in general without specifying what page/route/link it's going to.
I use Titan over at AuraGem Music to provide free music hosting to people (music libraries are private to the user): gemini://auragem.letz.dev/music/ 路 9 months ago

@clseibold titan? I haven't been around the smolnet in a bit. it feels like I blinked and suddenly there are half a dozen protocols I have no idea about! I am using lagrange though. It's comfy uwo. 路 9 months ago
@throatmuppet Other sites get around the character limit by allowing you to append text to your message. Station doesn't have this though.
I don't know what gemini browser you're using, but lagrange and a few others do support Titan, which allows one to upload long text. Not many social network capsules use this though. 路 9 months ago
to everyone that replied: it's nice to meet you uwu. I've been lurking on smolnet sites here and there for a while now. I don't typically enjoy low character limits but I might make an exception this time. station seems cozy 路 9 months ago
