I have spent basically half the night trying to figure out how the chromecast and airplay protocols work.
The good thing is that I can use the much simpler and limited but working version 1 of the API because I have an old model. This was actually a concern because most of the documentation I found about the topic is a decade old or incomplete.
The next step is to set up a dummy Airplay server to receive commands, and start to figure out what I am getting and what I need to send.
