Last night a baby praying mantis hopped up on my smoking table out back. Took a little while to trust me but once it did it couldn't stop exploring my hands and arms lol. Sure was a cute little green thing. Eventually once the sun set I walked it out to some greenery on the side of the house and let it continue its wierd little praying mantis life.

I have a bearded dragon and considered giving it a mealworm but the mantis was a baby and looked too small to really eat one. Maybe I should have though! There are plenty of insects around here to snack on atleast :) · 2 years ago
That's awesome! chilling with nature is always a great feeling. Reminds me of when I was a kid and we had a couple 'pet' praying mantises that lived on a potted plant on the porch - I loved catching crickets to feed them. Eventually the (I'm assuming) female killed the male and ate its head though lol, that scarred little kid me · 2 years ago
