Testing the new Lagrange for iOS native text input!
My custom input widgets weren’t really cutting it on mobile. There’s a vast number of little things that iOS does to make text entry smooth and effortless, so anything I could implement myself would be but a pale imitation.
It remains to be seen what can be done on other mobile platforms. The custom widget has to stick around as a fallback, but I’ll likely keep it as bare-bones as possible.

I’m also looking forward to the Android port, but more in the sense of expanding support to all the major platforms. Personally I use Android very little, and my limited experiences with it as a dev environment have not been very pleasant.
Most likely what will happen is that serious work on the Android port will not commence until the iOS one is in a really solid shape. I am interested in making an alpha build with minimal dependencies before that, though. · 3 years ago
Now that ariane isn't an option there's a lack of clients for android too. Looking foreward for lagrange for android too. Hope that we too will get the chance to use it someday. · 3 years ago
