Schooling is about creating little corporate drones, instilling obedience, and sapping students of curiosity. Learning doesn't start or stop at the sound of a school bell. A lot of us have been saying that for a very long time now. Things like the emphasis on standardized testing and initiatives like No Child Left Behind here in the US just make the problem worse. The capitalist worship of STEM is what is killing the humanities. · 3 years ago
