Just created Mastodon account. Honestly I can't understand this thing with centralised-decentralised servers verifying their users. Makes weird first impression, at least for me

@ruby_witch i use the fediverse for serveral years now, first diaspora and now mostly mastodon since 2017. It has nothing todo with crypto stuff. But there is at least one instance excluivly for crypto kids - which you can block if the would show up in your feed - i never saw them xD 路 2 years ago
I've kinda given up on Twitter and have some interest in Mastodon just because I've heard about it as a more free alternative. However, I'm a bit hesitant about the whole fediverse thing because most of the time I hear it in conjunction with some sort of crypto scam. 路 2 years ago
it's not that difficult... think of something like every mastodon instance is like a own antenna (gemini://warmedal.se/~antenna/) for all others with a filter in your own timeline, or a rss aggregator :) 路 2 years ago
