Finally made the Radicale server working on my VPS and already connected it to my phone though DAVx5. Good bye, Google! However, I would say there is a lack of good solid guides for setting up Radicale.

I used nginx reverse proxy for this, but I agree, that it wasn't trivial task and this is exactly a "lack of detailed manuals" problem. Especially if you want to run it with https and modern password hash encryption methods. 路 2 years ago

Radicale is pretty neat for contacts/calendar/tasks. However I had trouble setting up https for it, so after 3 months of nice use, I migrated to Nextcloud.

Also using DAVx5 on my phone, along com.simplemobiletools.calendar.pro and org.dmfs.tasks, all available on f-droid. 路 2 years ago
