I've been giving some thought to a Gemini commenting service, similar to Disqus. My own capsule is a static site (and I'll probably keep it that way) but I might want to offer comments. It would be useful to link to, say baseurl.com/my-name/unique-post-id; visitors could comment and view all comments associated with the post. The service could handle identities and spam management. Just a wild idea, maybe I'll use it as an excuse to learn Rust.

@mc I agree! Without JavaScript and cookie tracking, I think it would be better. It would also be important to make it open source, so others can run their own if they don't like how you run yours. 路 3 years ago

I don't think that's wild. It's a good approach, since everything remains simple and static except the comments. 路 3 years ago
