plans to move to Sweden is progressing. been working from the Turkish branch of this company for 2 years now as the lead developer & IT manager (18 200 SEK salary), and I'm going to move to our office in Sweden as the new CTO. today I learned that my salary will be 32 500 SEK there. this is around 21 500-24 500 SEK ($2000-$2300) after taxes. I don't understand why it is this low. my boss might be taking advantage of the fact that I'm Turkish and really want to move abroad. he's going to cover the health insurance and other stuff in this process, but I'm still not sure if this salary is justified. either way I don't think I have a choice. I'll survive fine I guess.

18200 SEK per week? per two weeks? per month??? · 1 year ago
I see. thank you for the input. I plan to be patient and take this offer for now, then build up from there. my CV is loaded anyway. if we still can not agree on the salary after a year or so in Sweden, then I'll have to say goodbye and switch to somewhere else. · 1 year ago
Survivable, but very low. If you ever switch companies, you can expect a bunch more for sure. For reference, I've earned around 2k€ for warehouse work in Finland where the pay is lower than Sweden. · 1 year ago
