First day in Warsaw. The weather was lovely and I walked more than 20K steps. Today was dedicated to just walking around the city and figuring out good areas for an apartment. Tomorrow is supposed to rain: good day for a museum visit.

@deerbard still in Warsaw for a couple of weeks! I have received so many sweets for Christmas that I think I will need a full year to go through them. But noted about the poppy cake. 路 1 week ago

@melyanna Sorry for late reply. I鈥檓 not aware of any special Warsaw dessert, but as for Polish ones, p膮czki (doughnut but not one with a hole, but with filling inside), cheescake (so many different types, I like some very much while don鈥檛 like at all some). Soon the best, Christmas sweets, are coming. Traditional Christmas cakes are amazing. 路 2 months ago
@deerbard I have had apple pie, doughnuts, yeast bread... I am not sure if there is any Warsaw traditional one I should try, but whenever I eat cake or a dessert, it tastes amazing. 路 2 months ago

@deerbard I really like it here. Warsaw is very safe and quiet. It is easy to walk everywhere or take public transport. There are many parks in the city and they are all stunning: you can see the city is putting a lot of effort into keeping them clean and beautiful. The food is good and the people are quite friendly. I have only been here 3 weeks of course, so it's early to say if I'd move here, but so far it's been all positive. The sweets here are amazing. Everyone talks about pierogi (amazing), but the sweets are absolutely incredible. 路 2 months ago

@zeerooth I have only been here 3 days (and today I just worked and didn't go out) but I can see some of the chaos already. Everyone had been friendly so far. I am only here for 3 weeks for now and may or may not move in the future. It is not decided yet! 路 3 months ago
I hope you enjoy the city! I have a kind of a hate/love relationship with Warsaw. It's the city I spent so much of my life in, yet I find it so chaotic and unwelcoming and some of the memories I have over there are bitter. 路 3 months ago
