@nuclearum so far I've had success teaching it to one friend who's not technically inclined, though she has a very learning oriented attitude towards computers and software in general. gpg4win makes the process a bit easier because I can get them using Kleopatra if they're afraid of the command line. 路 2 years ago

I think GPG is very complex for newbies, if you and friends are using email servers supporting imap/smtp then you can use something more easy like DeltaChat this use autocrypt for encryption is like messenger but using email. 路 2 years ago

@sarmun I'm definitely hoping I can get my friends and family on board. I'm sure I'll be successful with some of my more technically inclined friends, at least. 路 2 years ago

@sarmun same. But I can sign my emails whether or not they want to check my signatures. I wouldn鈥檛 expect them to manually check signatures on a regular basis, but it doesn鈥檛 remove their usefulness. 路 2 years ago

That''s nice. The only thing is... you need others to use it too. Well... my friends aren't eager to use encryption though. So I'm left with mostly useless PGP key... 路 2 years ago
