i love how there's no content from external domains loaded when you view a page in gemini. no doubleclick.net , no googlesyndication.com .
it's not tor, but it's even better in some ways.
cool links but...
would people mind to post them to geddit.glv.one ?
or create another space to highlight special pages.
on some sites i feel the obligation to "like" a post if i use it to drop my comments. not necessary but fair and polite.
it reminds me of rent. i hate rent. why should i pay rent?
an irl landlord has a property and then rents it to give you temporary access.
but content posters are constantly generating new material.
that's why it would be more justified.
even chrome browser feels broken (*facepalm*)
gemini://simplynews.metalune.xyz/makeuseof.com ``` is having some trouble for me.
lynx is a nice browser. it has bookmark folders. you script it to kickstart searches from the command line. you can get it to open links with an external progam if necassary. it's not really hard to navigate. most pages look fine and work well. you can have tabbed windows with i3. but it doesn't have the same ecosystem for power users. so sad. but also i think it's design benefits simple use. ie: you have one question -> research answer (in ONE window). not as good at gathering contextual information.
my firefox browser has been repeatedly freezing. several times a day. sometimes twice in 10 minutes.
