I use Debian on the server and trust the maintainers implicitly. Perhaps fail2ban doesnt follow the latest industry practices – but it definitely works on my servers (I use it to throttle access to my web servers). · 3 years ago
I have not taken the time to fully understand the configuration of fail2ban. I use fail2ban on a couple devices. I ran across some information several months ago about fail2ban not getting updated with security best practices that caused me to look to see what other options are available. I found "Crowdsec" but have spent even less time looking at that. Just curious if you have seen anything similar or if you feel confident with fail2ban. · 3 years ago
