@userfxnet I used to love engineering mixtapes. I think they were such labors of love, even when it came to making CD's as the 90's went from early to late. Beofre al la cart music was a thing when I was in college I worked shifts at the campus radio stations just to have the access and exposure to all the music. 路 4 months ago
would it be a fun project if we all, on our own time, dubbed our own cassettes to listen to our leisure -- and THEN, using our own audio equipment that we used to dub the tapes, RIP the tapes unto a longform lo-fi mp3/ogg (maybe ogg for size constraint) and upload them to our own hosts so we can share mixtapes across to eachother?! Like a community Konpeito of sorts, only with playlists between geminauts 路 4 months ago
I just didn't have the time to invest in the equipment again. I do love casettes but I'm ripping with audacity to MP3 as I want the audio in the car/office. Here's a great website so you can make your own J cards for the cassette boxes though.
