Big shoutout to @martin, who just helped me re-gain access to this account after my dumb ass let my cert expire! Don't be like me, and check the expiration date of your certs! (or set a password to have a plan B) In my defense, I created that cert when I just arrived at geminispace and I had no idea wtf I was doing :D

I've been using offpunk for a couple of days, and it's truly a great way to browse not only gemini, but web resources as well. Workflow a bit weird at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty awesome. User certs since v2.4, so I'm logging this from offpunk right now!

A couple weeks ago I was here asking what everyone were using to publish stuff::

gemini://station.martinrue.com/jmcs/5048485366de40c689e5ba150538f7e3 my last post

Since I couldn't find anything that I liked 100% (or anything better to do with my free time), I went ahead and added some gemini extra stuff on top of bashblog.

I'm oddly happy with the simple 'tag' support I came up with, made with a bit of grep, awk, sort, uniq etc.

https://tildegit.org/jmcs/bashblog you can see my changes here

gemini://texto-plano.xyz/jmcs/gemlog/ see it in action

(you can compare it with the https version https://texto-plano.xyz/~jmcs/blog/)

Hope someone finds it useful!

I'm fairly new to all things Gemini, to tell the truth, so I might be several years late to the party, but here it goes anyway:

How is everyone managing their gemlogs/tinylogs/twtxt/others? I'm sure there are common/well known scripts y'all are already using in your personal capsules.

Mostly because I have not even begun and I'm already thinking of writing some scripts to create posts, etc 馃槂.

Could anyone point me to a place where I can read about existing options? thx in advance!

Announcing it here as well: I've published a WIP apk of the Deedum client. You can read about it here:

The "sustainability-aware" part of me is getting increasingly frustrated at the state of Android. Not only the lack of support for "old" devices, but how unnecessarily difficult it is to build anything for old versions.

Then, here's the thing: every time I look into it, Google has come out with a new "recommended" way of doing things. and like seven new SDK versions.

Meanwhile, you can get c code from the seventies and make it work in quite a bunch of platforms...

open question: is the "standard" to only use "ANSI color codes" inside "preformatted text"? it seems to be the norm, but...

Anyone has input?

thanks!

Hi everyone! first words here :)

And a, perhaps silly, question: am I the only one who gets confused by the comments to a publication going "last first"? It gets me every time 馃槂

Anyhow, nice to have this space. I'm quite new to all things Gemini, enjoying the discovery so far.
