Long shot. I'm abroad right now and will be back in a few days. got chance to buy 2 bottles of liquor tax free.
What's your recommended list of Vodka (or other spirit, I tend to drink directly so vodka usually). Budget is unlimited practically.

@haze Sorry for not replying earlier.
In Russia you can get good vodka for literal pennies, but unfortunately I don't know what's available abroad now. My favourite brand costs like $10 for litre here and it's towering even above even way more expensive vodkas in term of quality. They had plans and even came up with export variant, but with the war it looks like their plans fell through and they sell it domestically instead.
Among widely available Beluga is a safe choice — it's nothing special, but it has consistent quality, Russian Standard is okay, but it gets counterfeited a lot — you never know what you might get, can't recommend 🤷 · 9 months ago
kraken rum, my actual favorite. with a little shot of africola and lime, for my stomache can't handle pure liquor anymore since i had a bad poisoning from a sea urchin. · 9 months ago
A good French Cognac is never a bad decision here. I like Chateau Montifaud a lot. Good price, and excellent taste · 9 months ago
@m0xee Can you recommend a few brands you trust? My list is too small and would like to expand it. · 9 months ago
I would say that having a bottle of rakija is never wrong.. · 9 months ago
With vodka price is seldomly a factor — there are really expensive vodkas that I can't take even the smell of, and there are really cheap ones that are light and enjoyable to drink and never give me hangover, so just go for the brand you trust.
Were I right now at a duty free store, I'd probably go for some tequila or a bottle of good single-malt whiskey — but that's just me, getting good vodka is never a problem in Russia if you know where to look 😉 · 9 months ago
If you can get țuică, give it a shot. It’s a clear plum brandy that’s very nice to sip. Also nice is tsipouro from Greece. · 9 months ago
