I was just watching a TV show and, on the show, a doorbell rang. Both my dogs started barking and ran to the front door. But it occured to me...I don't have a doorbell. The dogs have never experienced an event where a doorbell means that someone is at the door, but theyyinstinctively know that's what it means. How do dogs get so smart?

Maybe they did learn it by watching TV! I'm going to do an experiment tomorrow and leave out some paint and a blank canvas and leave The Joy of Painting playing all day and we'll see what kind of happy little trees they come up with. 路 3 years ago
