gemalaya is available as an AppImage now:
https://gitlab.com/galacteek/gemgemgem/-/releases/continuous-master/downloads/Gemalaya-latest-x86_64.AppImage
I'm using it to browse Station, still more work to do but it's pretty convenient on a laptop

Ok thanks @astraseneca, that helps. What screen resolution do you have ? Font sizes can be changed in the theme's config, in v0.3.4 you'll be able to write custom themes and cycle between themes.
I'll add a shortcut to change the font size from the keyboard. 路 1 year ago
Of the entire set of xcb-util utilities, xcb-util-cursor was not installed on my system. It was the cause of the crash of the program. Now Gemalaya-0.3.3-x86_64.AppImage is working. The fonts are too big. 路 1 year ago
New AppImage just pushed with some fixes but nothing related to xcb. The AppImage opens fine here but i have all the xcb-util libs installed ... Will look at the AppImage authors guidelines on this, i believe that some of these xcb-util libs must be bundled in the image. 路 1 year ago
@astroseneca I think it's probably a missing xcb library on your system, can't bundle all xcb libs in the AppImage..
Try to run it with: QT_DEBUG_PLUGINS=1 ./Gemalaya-0.3.3-x86_64.AppImage
In the log you'll most likely see a "no such file or directory" error for a missing xcb library file, just need to install the right package for it. 路 1 year ago
...although gemv is quite workable. 路 1 year ago
