Just got an e-reader, definitely worth the purchase! I'm already about to get hooked on reading again :p

I love my Kobo. Great device and highly moddable, though I personally find it works fine with stock config. With Calibre, definitely reading more than before. Need more devices with a singular purpose- multitasking is a downside! 路 1 year ago
@flat I live in the Netherlands and have a similar issue, but I was able to sign up with the local library in my home country through my parents' address when I went to visit them last year. Works great for me! :) 路 1 year ago
@ruby_witch I've connected to my local library, there are a bunch of books, however most of them are swedish translations or original Swedish books (obviously because i live in sweden). I'd much rather read the originals than the translations though, so that's an issue :(. 路 1 year ago
They're good stuff. I've been using a kindle for years now and just love it. 路 1 year ago
I try to do a majority of my reading on an e-reader!
I definitely recommend getting connected with your local library's digital lending system. They may not have exactly what you want if you're looking for a specific book, but just for browsing what's new for something to read it's really handy. Also free!
Also another good source of digital books is archive.org / openlibrary.org. If you check the book out for the standard 14 days, you can download them and load them onto your e-reader. There's a loooooot of books on there. 路 1 year ago
oh man a gemini client on an ereader would be epic. 路 1 year ago
I am a *big* fan of my Remarkable II. Not just an e-reader but works well for that, too. 路 1 year ago
