I just noticed when creating a new post Lagrange shows me a limit of 977 characters. Why that number? Is the actual limit 1000 and Station reserves 23 chars for something? Is it maybe 1024 with 47 reserved characters? Or is it maybe just a Lagrange thing? 馃

Oh and keep in mind that some characters like emoticons can be several bytes in size. 路 1 month ago

It's a Gemini request size limit, you can read about it under request here gemini://geminiprotocol.net/docs/protocol-specification.gmi 路 1 month ago

@hanzbrix ooooooh 馃く, interesting 馃. Is that a Gemini protocol limit, or a Station limit? 路 1 month ago

It's 1024, but the URI you are calling is in the message too.

It's why a reply here is 943, cos /erick/$hash/reply takes up 81 characters. 路 1 month ago
