Lots of hype in UFO world today:
Currently a multi-reddit AMA on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/live/9G6HDuLwYWY
Later today, an interview with an air force guy who claims to have been involved with retrieving crashed UFOs will air on news nation, supposedly with video evidence.
People of station, where do you fall down on all this? Skeptical? Interested?
If this turns out to be real, how do you think society would react? How would you react?

@darkghost @lucifer_jehovah_smith interesting perspectives.
As to whether or not society is ready: Sometimes, whether or not someone is ready for something is irrelevant. If it's all real, are the people keeping the secret 'ready for it'? And why would they have the right to make the call about whether or not the rest of us are 'ready'? 路 41 minutes ago
lot of travel just to crash on earth? galaxy is huge. 路 15 hours ago
This was a big thing also about 30 years ago with Fox's show Sightings and, of course, the X-Files. I'd say my 12 year old self was a total believer. I made games on the Amiga about blowing UFOs out of the sky, and Independence Day totally copied my games. (Not really.) I would see suspicious things on a hill in the distance from my house... which I later figured out was Cedar drive. 馃槀 The popular seed has been there since the 1920s or so, coming in waves such as 1950s. If the idea is being seeded I'd watch for changes above this baseline. Things getting a little TOO specific, news media talking about it more, etc. 路 18 hours ago
@darkghost "The whole of society is not ready and it's one of those things you have to seed the idea of it being something that exists over a long time." There's widespread speculation along these lines in the UFO subculture. The speculation goes that entertainment involving extraterrestrials became common in order to plant the idea firmly in society before the big reveal. Or at least that was the speculation 10+ years ago, when I followed UFO happenings more than I do now. 路 18 hours ago
Skeptic here. I think I understand humanity now. Some will believe it even when it isn't real. Others will deny it right up until the moment they get incinerated by the ray gun, no matter how convincing previous evidence is. The whole of society is not ready and it's one of those things you have to seed the idea of it being something that exists over a long time. Inch by inch introduce ideas. My centering idea for this opinion dates back to an argument society had with itself at the advent of refrigeration. The argument was whether artificial ice was as more hazardous than natural ice (as in, the kind you sawed out of a frozen lake.) 路 21 hours ago
