Have been spending a bit of time trying out DWM. Not sure if I'll stick with it long-term yet but I've learned a few KSH and OpenBSD things getting a statusbar script put together. Just need to add battery charge level and current IP/network now to be on par with my old i3 statusbar config.

@dev1ls I don't think I've used BSPWM before; I have heard of it though. Part of my motive for using DWM is that it will give me a reason to improve my proficiency with C and KSH. I think i3 and DWM both have certain advantages over each other. I prefer the default keybinds on i3 and the flexible layouts due to the tree structure but I appreciate the simplicity of DWMs stack based approach and the power of their tag system. 路 2 years ago
@bavarianbarbarian I''ve only ever admined Windows environments professionally so apart from running OSTicket for a stretch I've not had much OpenBSD in my work life. I left mainstream socials last year and would really like to get away from the big email providers too. As I've had a fair amount of email admin experience I'm getting very tempted to setup an OpenBSD based mailserver over at openbsd.amsterdam. 路 2 years ago
