knowing that i lack the endurance to do this myself, i hope to find a likeminded soul one day that wants to build a mu* with me. when my brain thinks of building one, new ideas arrive every time. today i thought about a mystery themed mush, inspired by vanilla WoW Duskwood

@p13 the content is what matters anyhow. a good tech never makes a good mud 🤷‍♀️ · 3 years ago

golang looks like someone vomitted and then a spider ran over the keyboard. I won't use that 🙈 · 3 years ago

@defunct Sounds like something i need to look into. Sounds like fun. For networked applications, golang is pretty nice. · 3 years ago

@p13 I wasn't planning on building my own server. I usually feel drawn to pennmush, because lisp. but it should depend on the game. most engines have their own scripting language they bring. I just want to avoid the new kids on the block because my rpi can't run nodejs well · 3 years ago

@p13 mu* is a placeholder for mud, muck, mush, etc. it's an old system, decades old where you can play sophisticated text based games. some are hack and slash, others are social. look it up · 3 years ago
