I just finished Severance season 2. I don't think I'm as hooked on the show as I was after season 1. The writers don't trend towards how I think. I felt the same way after The Matrix Revolutions. I don't think I'm spoiling anything on a 20+ year old movie to say I was excited after Neo killed a Sentinel in the real world with his The One power in Reloaded. Could it be the Matrix is layered? Makes sense, he's not the first The One, he's the anomaly that must be contained, so there's another layer of digital reality to contain him. Nope... just a throwaway line in the sequel that The One's power extends back to the source or whatever. 👎

Basic premise: future tech makes it so you bring no memory of your life outside work into the workplace, and no memory of your work home with you. That's the framing for deeper questions: Is this a new person? Is it murder to be laid off? What happens if you're injured on the job? And so on... Add some mystique and a story and you got yourself a Severance stew. · 1 month ago
Seeing as I don’t have Apple TV, I decided to watch Apples ad on YouTube where they show off using a Mac to edit the show.
After watching that video, I still couldn’t tell you wtf that show is about lmfao… · 1 month ago
i watched the first few episodes of severence a bit after season 1 came out but before season 2 did and id never seen anybody talk about it before, it had medium reviews, and i only found it because my little sister just happened to stumble upon it while browsing her friends apple tv and asked me to put it on the jellyfin. it has been really bizarre watching the entire internet suddenly go up in arms about a show i watched and dropped that literally nobody seemed to care about like 6 months prior · 1 month ago
