my new project at work includes wading through tons of legacy config and code and clean it up. i actually like it. it鈥檚 a challenge and a mess, but super critical for our products.

my wife and me moved to a new apartment which is smaller but quieter and sleep quality improved.

still a lot of stress in our life but at least we are making progress.

@zero simple, i do all the things that normal people do, gardening, laundry, vacuum cleaning, watering the plants, IT stuff, cooking, feeding the cat, mowing the grass, cutting the trees, the stuff what you have to do with a big house/ground. I used to be a trained unix sysadmin in my former life, but now i prefer it to live a bit simpler... better for my mind... having a workbench, do some blacksmithing, growing plants...enjoying medival festivals. here in the outback with almost no contact to other people.. it's a peaceful life with my cat and me ;) 路 2 years ago

I'm still looking at options about what to do in order to quit tech. That housekeeper thing is what exactly @bavarianbarbarian ? 路 2 years ago

nice to hear that you like your job, but that's one of the reasons i quit IT.... too much stress, does not work for me anymore. I really do not want to work 18h a day to hold deadlines, sleepin in the office and so on. work as a housekeeper is much more peaceful ;) and i have lost my faith in IT :( 路 2 years ago
