Looking into hosting public & fully federated matrix and fediverse services. Anyone got experience with that?

I've looked into it with my pubnix but I'm also unaware as to how to really start, plus as far as I'm aware, it's potentially CPU-intensive to do so running a federated server with registration for users to post along to other federated connected channels and could even take up space quicker than first speculated.
It'd be nice to be able to take part in some manner of lightweight federated hosting with minimal featureset in tandem to minimal process usage. I'd love to know more too if anyone's got pointers? :o · 4 months ago
