Saying we were chimps in an age of monkeys is a kindness. Libertarian drivel, calling on intellectuals of history as representative, especally in the US. There is a sort of selfish ego that wants to believe it in the US. An ego that can't accept the idea that while "all the world is a stage," you might be an extra. Is it better to live with a mob under some rules, or be fully at their mercy hoping for spontaneous intelectual development of out of anarchy? · 5 months ago
