Has anyone exclusively used Gemini instead of the Web for a day, week, month, or more?

@dimkr here you go

gemini://gmi.noulin.net/man/

Pretty sure there’s a CGI search for Man pages somewhere · 2 years ago

If I have access to man pages, I think I can use only Gemini for a month, outside of $dayjob · 2 years ago

@astromech that would be so cool, if only… but I wonder if I could create a script to display important info, like homework, on a local Gemini server

personally I also have to use the web for coding documentation but maybe I will try this summer to spend a week without the web · 2 years ago

I think @ploum is s the closest with all their work on Offpunk

personally I’m getting closer. At least for my personal life. I looked at all the reasons why I open the web browser, and then replacing them by building Gemini services. One of the first things I do in the morning or last things I do at night is check the weather. so I built Chilly Weather. when reading, or just for fun, I like to look things up on Wikipedia. so I built Gemipedia. · 2 years ago

@jforg Imagine if schools used gemini protocol · 2 years ago

Is it cheating if I use duckling (which I learned about here from @mfoo2) to look at http sites through a Gemini browser? Probably, yeah? · 2 years ago

👽 jforg

unfortunately not - I need it for school · 2 years ago
