I wonder if it might be feasible to share my webcomic on Gemini (gemcomic?). Gemini doesn't seem like the ideal place to share artwork, but unlike Gopher images can at least be accessed in-client. I've seen Gramfel, but not any others. I might try and see what I can do.

I'd check it out. Lagrange would work for in-line images. I use a terminal client though, so I'd have to "click" the links. It'd be neat to see an ANSI webcomic someday, done in codeblock art. ยท 1 year ago

There are people sharing photos over Gemini. It won't be displayed in the same gemtext document for most people but clicking on the linked image will open it up no problem. So, go for it. ยท 1 year ago

I'm sucker for comics!

Gemtex is not designed for comics but I suggest using correct format for comics, instead of trying to bend Gemtext to something it will not work. Just add link to PNG or CBZ inside short author commentary if desired. It will dowload and open in default app. ยท 1 year ago

I'm all for it!

Gemini doesn't allow images as decorations โ€” that's why it might seem that all content is just text, but if images are the content themselves โ€” no problem with that.

Yes, Lagrange displays images right on the page and in other clients, even TUI ones, the picture is a press of a button away โ€” so why not? Go for it! ยท 1 year ago
