more of a “heavy topic” post but — how should one circulate the theme of their own trauma? I feel like it’s the only thing that’s actually *mine*, mine as in “no on experienced this as me” — I both feel egocentric and good by keeping it to myself, but talking about what happened to people should also help — it also comes back to me whenever I’m feeling good again. It wasn’t the worst thing in the world, but it still hurts to this day. It’s been 6 years. — I just hope I can find it in me to open up.. its getting frustrating

— a little update— yeah! I started looking into therapy options and finding a therapist that can help me, I hope that comes out well soon, as it’s been one of my objectives for a while.. — oh and I mean “circulating” as in “approaching the topic” not as *popularizing it*.. sorry for the misconceptions, english isn’t my first language, lol, but I promise I’m doing alright now! ~👽 · 3 months ago
I started therapy a few months ago and I strongly recommend it. It helps immensely to be able to talk to someone in a safe environment. And therapists are good listeners by definition: there is no judgement, no personal/emotional involvement, and they really help putting distance between yourself and what has happened to you. I do think that sharing can help, but please make sure you are OK first. :) · 3 months ago
the older you get, the more you realize that everyone carries their own burden. some seek guidance in professional settings to overcome them or learn to love with them, and usually come out a better human being on the other side. circulation sounds ill advised and more often than not is perceived as attention seeking instead of the desperate cry for help it is intended to be.
seek professional help. embrace the hard work on yourself that follows. maybe share it when good progress has been made, although by then you may have realized that there is nothing special to it in the grand scheme of things.

Why circulate? Sounds like it needs a specialist in a private and controlled setting, not a circulation in a public and uncontrolled setting. Sorry if it's brutal but better safe than sorry. · 3 months ago
