I know the French president Macron has an image, especially internationally, of someone concerned by the ecological questions.

I assure you, he is not. His new government, which was announced to represent an ecological turn, is a joke in this respect. Agnès Pannier-Runacher, the new minister of energetic transition, announced that one of the centers of her action will be to teach the small acts like the deletion of the old mails… a joke I said.

In the meanwhile, my phone, launched only 3 years ago, is not updated anymore. I could never delete any mail in my whole life, it would produce less CO2 than the construction of *one* smartphone…

Just look at her wikipedia page, you'll quickly see that is clearly not the kind of person who give a f* about ecological matter... https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agn%C3%A8s_Pannier-Runacher it's terrifying. · 2 years ago

I have yet to meet anyone who is seriously concerned with ecological issues. COP26 was just an effort by nations to discuss creative ways of doing absolutely nothing to address environmental damage.

We just need to consume less, use less, live less consumptive lifestyles. Compared to the lives of people 100 years ago, we are frivolously wasteful. It's so blatantly obvious it has to be willfully ignored. · 2 years ago
