I’m using OpenWeatherMap.org to pull through data. Units to display are just a switch in the URL. by default I show metric units if the location you are looking up isn’t the US but you can override that. there is a link at the top of the page that lets you change units · 2 years ago

Just checked and it gives different forecast than my fav source. I'm gonna monitor and check which is better if I don't forget. · 2 years ago

It's great! Where does it take all the information from? Would be cool to know what's the data source. · 2 years ago

👽 gnuserland

@acidus nice! I found a lot of improvements! 👏👏👏 · 2 years ago

Nice update! It acts a little funky when trying to use it with clients like gemcall or gmni. I tried taking the full URL from amfora and it gives me the right location but not the right units. · 2 years ago

@acidus just independently discovered the new version, you did great! I like it alot. only thing I can thibk of is to add an extended full detail page with more info like wind speed/direction and humidity. also might want to account for the scenario where someone wants to use ferenheit+24hr format or celseus+12hr format · 2 years ago

thanks for all the feedback! just launched an updated version: you can search for a new location. you can specifically toggle metric or imperial (by default uses country to determine unit to use) metric also controls using a 24 hour clock vs 12 hour clock. the search is OK. I can change to a different geocode service based on feedback, or allow you to directly enter Lon/Lat of your location. any more feedback? what about the info displayed? · 2 years ago

This is great. The output looks very nice and easy tooread. · 2 years ago

👽 comatoast

This is dope, but, it needs the option for manual input because it has me in a city I am not located it. · 2 years ago

👽 november

This is nice. It picks up my location VERY incorrectly, but oh well. · 2 years ago

👽 smokey

Oh also congrats for making a good weather site, all the other gemini weather projects broke for my location · 2 years ago

👽 smokey

I like the 12 hour clock as its what my country uses, if you develop the project further it would be neat to use geminis user identity fingerprint system so users can individually customize settings and locations. or you could go the wttr.in route and have URL based settings like /city country?u where u is US format · 2 years ago

Great indeed. Two things though. Specify location manually and use 24 hour clock instead. · 2 years ago

👽 steve

Wow, very nice 👍! also, can you specify the place? it took the location from the ISP which isn't correct · 2 years ago

👽 gnuserland

Oh nice! ♥

Very easy to use and well formatted! · 2 years ago

👽 bie

would be nice to be able to specify the location manually (it gets mine wrong) · 2 years ago

👽 justyb

Works well. Picks up my location as the nearest big city, but close enough. Very nice indeed. · 2 years ago
