A slow-moving, long-lasting community experiment in using computers and networks less destructively and less ephemerally, by and for computing fans who have realised that cyberspace is built from the body parts of Mother Earth, and are trying to figure out what to do about that.
Our most visible output, the thing we hope we'll become known and remebered for is the Smol Earth Journal. It will be published once a year, on Earth day (April 22), in a range of eBook formats for offline reading and as a PDF for self-printing, all freely redistributable. Each issue will be assembled from material collected and produced by our other projects, which are described below. We'll exercise editorial oversight, to highlight the very best stuff and to balance out both the formats and the content to best achieve our goals and follow our principles.
We are hoping to publish the first issue of the Journal on April 22, 2024. If you're interested in helping that happen, please watch this space!
