Began my observation a little early. The sky wasn't fully dark and the orange yellow star sat nicely on top of the dark blue sky. Does not stand out much in comparison to the nearby star field, could easily be missed if I wasn't looking for it.

Another favorite revisited.

I took extra time to get the star placement and brightness as accurate as possible. I wanted to make sure the shape of the butterfly was as noticable in the sketch as it is in the eyepiece. Added a touch of the vignette effect to this one.

I love this open cluster. The stars were twinkling like mad as I was sketching it.
