I just bought myself a second-hand AlphaSmart Neo 2 word processor from ebay (they were discontinued). Honestly, it's closer to a "smart keyboard" that you can disconnect and continue to type on than a word processor. It slightly reminds me of an Amstrad NC100 that I lost. But the Neo 2 seems more useful, at the very least as an ordinary keyboard.
I'm hoping to use it for some distraction-free writing, blog posts to start with. Perhaps even something different to the usual tech content.
Just in case anyone else is wondering, I found the final versions of the (quite well-written) manuals. I failed to get the "Neo Manager" program to run on Windows 10, despite support forum posts. I *did* find the default passwords, which was the only reason I wanted to use Neo Manager anyway.
