Aahah I really like DNA Needs Anemones.
However, it stands for Delete Not Allowed.
It cames from an old idea I had in which each reply was signed against all previous messages.
That meant that changing or deleting a message in the tree would invalidate all following signatures.
I don't know if something like that is even legal, by the way (e.g., GDPR).
But I like recursive acronyms, so the meaning might change.

Interesting!
I don't see how that could be any less legal than e.g. a git repo.
At worst, some threads might sometimes become invalidated in that way because a post was deleted.

Something like that would be a good thought experiement, but I doubt it would be very effective as a message board with culture. How would people act knowing that just one message deleted would destroy everything that they had worked hard for. It would be a very paranoid board, I must say.
