THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOUISVILLE HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND HAZARDOUS ROAD CONDITIONS...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING. * TIMING: A BAND OF HEAVY SNOW ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY WILL MOVE EASTWARD INTO THE BLUEGRASS REGION OF CENTRAL KENTUCKY THIS AFTERNOON. THE SNOW WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES AND WILL ACCUMULATE. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE EXPECTED WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS BEING POSSIBLE. THE SNOW WILL DIMINISH TO FLURRIES BY EARLY EVENING. * MAIN IMPACT: WHILE SURFACE TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN AT OR JUST ABOVE FREEZING...THE SNOW WILL COME DOWN AT RATE ENOUGH TO ACCUMULATE DESPITE NOT HAVING SUB FREEZING TEMPERATURES.
