Weather Updates
===================================
With the strong cold front that brought the severe weather to the
area moving eastward, it was a calmer Friday across Central and
Eastern Kentucky even though it was on the windy side once again.
With a mix of clouds and sunshine around the region, winds gusted
to over 30 miles per hour thanks to the strong wave of low pressure
spinning through the Great Lakes. Highs were quite comfortable into
the upper 60s and low 70s and we should be set up for quite a nice
weekend weather wise here in the bluegrass. High pressure will
build in from the west so expect lots of sunshine and highs into
the low 70s Saturday although it will still be on the breezy side.
As the high builds eastward during the 2nd half of the weekend, a
southwest wind will pick up Sunday, driving highs back into the low
80s. Another storm system should arrive late Monday and with the
possibility that an area of low pressure may cut off from the flow
of the jest stream out to our west, we could be looking at a daily
rain chance for several days through the middle of next week, just
what we need given the drought situation here in Kentucky. Enjoy
the nice weekend...TG
