Weather Updates
===================================
It was a fairly pleasant finish to the month of August and the work
week on Friday with some filtered sunshine across Central and
Eastern Kentucky thanks to a mid level cloud deck. Afternoon highs
were held in check as a result and it appears temperatures will
stay fairly nice for at least the first half of the holiday
weekend. As high pressure slides by to our north with should see a
good bit of sunshine on Saturday with a few more clouds in extreme
Southeastern Kentucky. In fact a few of the counties along the
Kentucky/Virginia border may even see a stray storm Saturday with
some moisture returning northward down there. The remainder of the
holiday weekend looks dry, which isn't a good thing relative to the
drought but should be a positive for outdoor plans. Highs should
top out into the mid and upper 80s through Labor Day with a few low
90s expected into the middle of next week. Other than an isolated
storm with the heating of the day through Wednesday our next best
shot of rain may not arrive until late next week with a frontal
system moving in. Enjoy the holiday weekend and stay safe out
there...TG
