Local Fianna Fail Minister James Lawless TD has received confirmation
from the Department of Education that St. Mary's Girls' Post Primary
School, Naas has been given permission to proceed to the tender stage
with its plans for their new school building.
Minister Lawless stated: “This is crucial step in the progression of
this large new school building project here in Naas.
“The new school is funded under the Large-Scale Capital Programme and
will consist of a new 1,000 pupil post primary school building which
also includes six classrooms for students with special educational
needs.
“I want to pay tribute to the all the management, staff, students,
parents and the Boards of Management who have all worked hard to get
this new school building and facilities their school deserves.”
Minister Lawless concluded: “I will continue to work with the school,
the Department of Education to complete this project as soon as
possible.”
